Here are steps to host a virtual award ceremony for employees.

2. Choose a date and time
The intent of awards is to give employees recognition, ideally in front of a wide audience. To give winners maximum exposure, choose a date and time when the most staff can attend. You may want to poll the team for availability to determine the best date and time for the event.
Consider different time zones, and choose an hour when team members are most able to take a break to applaud peers. For example, if your team is spread across different continents, then you may want to hold the award show during the day in the west-most areas so that eastern employees can join in the evening.
